aganetha dyck does honey comb.

there is something so magnetic & strange about insects and their nesting habits. honey comb and wasp nests are these intricate networks of tunnels and hives made by these tiny busy thing with wings. while wasps tend to be rather nasty, bees have forged a prettier identity among the literary & art minded. i recently stumbled upon artist aganetha dyck who creates these amazing assemblages with honey comb and bees wax. She is interested in "inter species communication" & although her work is centered around the horrors of what might happen should the honey bee become extinct, i find it strange and lovely & hope to incorporate this idea into my new work.
