Metalsmith Victoria Moore works primarily
with damascus steel.
This isa hot-forged metal made using alternating sheets
of steel and iron welded together into a solid piece.
While the work is labor intensive and time consuming,
the resulting metal is intriguing. Characterized by
wavy lines that resemble flowing water it
lends itself well to
beautifully patterned jewelry.
Each surface presents a beautiful
variegated appearance.
Each piece is truly one of a kind.
