these strange sculptures by artist judith g. klausner are composed of the dead; appropriated cicada wings, the delicate bodies of praying mantis', bone, moth. their reinvention suggest odd notions, a mantis is the ballerina in a jewelry box, cicada wings become the wings of a 'bird,' while a moth finally breeches a light bulb.
what we preserve becomes special, forever.
