even when i was young, collecting was an obsessive act. i would collect and covet stickers, marker sets, rocks, books, notes.....and an endless amount of other odds and ends. i'm still an obsessive collector and image collecting is one of my favorite ways to collect because, if done solely on the computer, doesn't begin to fill up your space.
i fell for this painting by gloomy artist stephen kasner while i was image collecting on the internet. the title of the piece shot that extra electric arrow into my heart; although this lovely little collector had won me over before i even knew her name. the rest of his work is equally haunting, moody and creepy. just the way i love it.
